With travel and in-person meetings making a comeback, the 2021 Apartmentalize conference took place in Chicago last week with attendees embracing the theme of the event, “Reconnect, Restart and Reenergize.”
Historically, the Multifamily space hasn’t been known for its adoption of new technology, but that’s no longer the case. An influx of investment funding is fueling innovation as more apartment-focused tech companies pop up, and that was reflected in the exhibitions as well as the sessions.
Smart home technology, resident experience apps, and self-guided tour tech products were plentiful, as were sessions touching upon virtual teams and artificial intelligence.
The events of 2020 were a recurring theme at this year’s conference, with many sessions focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as COVID-19’s impact. Health and wellness were focal points, too, with sessions dedicated to combating burnout, yoga, and meditation.
Apartmentalize 2022 will be held in San Diego from June 22-25, 2022. Do you plan to attend?
