SEO Is Still the Foundation
There has always been SEO. Despite all the changes, SEO is not going away.
Google’s own guidance continues to emphasize helpful, reliable, people-first content. It also makes clear that search engines need to be able to understand your content, crawl your site, and connect users with the information they are looking for.
For apartment communities, that means your website still needs the basics. You need a clear floor plan page, strong location and neighborhood content, and amenities pages that actually explain what makes the community different. You also need pet policy information, parking information, FAQ content, photos, and reviews. Google just said it doesn’t need schema markup, but the LLMs still rely on it.
And the bar is higher now.
It is not enough to have a website with 300 words over a few pages and expect Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or any other AI-driven search tool to understand why your property should be recommended when people ask questions about renting in your location.
AI tools need content to work with. They also need context. They need enough information to understand who you are, where you are, what you offer, what makes you different, and what renter questions you answer.
If your website does not explain those things clearly, you are making it harder for search engines and AI systems to include you in the conversation. You also make it harder for people who visit your website to know if they should connect with you.
