The better approach: build fewer, stronger pages
Apartment owners should resist the pressure to match competitors’ page-for-page.
A competitor may publish 75 automated pages. That does not mean the strategy is working. It may simply mean they have created 75 pages that will need to be maintained, monitored, updated, consolidated, or eventually removed.
A better strategy is to build fewer pages with more depth.
For example, instead of creating separate pages for every neighborhood-adjacent keyword, create a strong neighborhood guide that includes:
- Nearby restaurants and coffee shops
- Grocery stores and shopping
- Parks and recreation
- Transit options
- Major employers
- Schools or universities, if relevant
- Commute context
- Why residents like the location
- Internal links to floor plans and tours
Instead of creating five separate amenity pages, create one strong amenities section that gives renters real details.
Instead of creating thin “near me” pages, improve Google Business Profile, local listings, reviews, schema, and location content.
This approach is better for SEO, better for AI visibility, and better for conversion.
