The next wave of AI is here, and it’s called Agentic AI. Instead of simply responding to prompts, Agentic AI can plan, reason, and take action on its own. Theoretically, you can string together AI agents to create a digital team of leasing, marketing, and operations assistants that can perform complex, multi-step tasks around the clock.
Some companies are already announcing massive Agentic deployments. One just announced deploying over 10,000 AI agents, all working behind the scenes to automate millions of tasks. It sounds futuristic, and in many ways, it’s not. These systems can already automatically generate content, update listings, follow up with leads, analyze performance data, and handle routine resident communication at scale. We know because we’ve built them.
But there’s a reason that in many cases best results still come from AI that’s intentionally designed and human-supervised.
AI Agents are Already Here for Multifamily
In multifamily, we’ve already built agents already power:
- End-to-end lead follow-up, from inquiry to scheduled tour.
- Automated content creation, including the creation of SEO-optimized website content, Google Business Profiles overviews, review responses, and social media posts.
- Analytics that synthesize all of the information in your reviews and surveys.
Done right, Agentic AI makes your teams faster and gives them more time to focus on high-value, high-touch work like relationship building, strategy, and customer experience.
But Automation Still Needs Oversight
AI agents are powerful, but they’re not perfect. They can misinterpret data, reference the wrong information, or make assumptions that humans wouldn’t. For example, we are currently seeing that Google Business Profiles that have been updated by their own AI are incorrectly listing amenities, including the availability of in-unit washer/dryers and incorrect parking and pet policies.
Those kinds of errors can confuse prospects and damage lead generation. This is just one example of why AI still needs human guardrails—to review, correct, and guide these systems as they learn.
The Future Is Human-Guided AI
At Respage, we believe the future of multifamily automation isn’t about replacing people—it’s about amplifying them. Our approach combines the efficiency of Agentic AI with the expertise of our account managers and leasing professionals.
We’re building intelligent systems that act, but under human supervision to ensure accuracy, consistency, and performance. That’s how we deliver AI you can trust—AI that works for your team, not instead of it.
Agentic AI will change how apartment communities operate. The communities that thrive will be those that embrace automation—and keep people in the loop to make sure every action reflects their brand, values, and goals.
